MCP3208-BI/SL is an 8-channel, successive approximation 12-bit serial A/D converter with SPI serial interface and onboard sample and hold circuitry. It is programmable to provide four pseudo-differential input pairs or eight single-ended inputs. Communication with the devices is accomplished using a simple serial interface compatible with the SPI protocol. This device operates over a broad voltage range. The application includes sensor Interface, process control, data acquisition, and battery-operated systems.
Features:
- Resolution is 12bits typ (VDD = 5V, VSS = 0V, VREF = 5V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Differential nonlinearity is ±0.5LSB typ (no missing codes over-temperature, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Integral nonlinearity is 1LSB max (VDD = 5V, VSS = 0V, VREF = 5V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Analog inputs programmable as single-ended or pseudo-differential pairs, on-chip sample and hold
