A CD54 470μH Surface Mount Power Inductor (470 microH) is a 2-terminal passive device having a coil of wire wound wrapped around a core. A core may be magnetic metal or air to produce a high inductance in the wire. The terminals are pads for a surface mounting.
When we apply a current through the inductor, a magnetic field is generated around it.
The magnetic field generated by using a magnetic core will be much much stronger than others.
Applications:
Useful in Mobile phone, PDA, MP3, DSC/DVC, portable DVD etc as DC-DC Converter inductors.
Features:
- Ferrite drum core construction.
- Magnetically unshield.
- Moisture Sensitivity Level: 1
- Halogen Free available.
- Solder reflow temperature: 260 ℃ peak.
Package Includes:
1 x CD54 470μH Surface Mount Power Inductor (470 microH) 5pcs.

Very good, values are 470uH ±10uH. For one inductor, I’ve measured 477uH @ 100Hz (Q Factor 0.112, ESR 2.6Ω), 477uH @ 120Hz (Q Factor 0.136, ESR 2.6Ω), 475.8uH @ 1kHz (Q Factor 1.126, ESR 2.65Ω), 475.3uH @ 10kHz (Q Factor 10.87, ESR 2.73Ω), 472.7uH @ 100kHz (Q Factor 51.7, ESR 5.74 Ω). Rugged and good.
