The AFM3020 sensor is an Aosong digital flow meter specially designed for ventilator applications. It measures the flow rate of air, oxygen, and other non-aggressive gases with superb accuracy. A special design of the flow channel results in a very low-pressure drop through the flow body of the sensor making it extremely suitable for very demanding applications, such as medical ventilation and respiratory applications.
The AFM3020 operates from a 5 Volt supply voltage and features a digital I2C interface. The measurement result is output after internal calibration and temperature compensation. The outstanding performance of this sensor is based on Aosong sensor technology, which combines a thermal sensor chip and a high-performance integrated 24-bit AD acquisition CMOS microprocessor. The thermal sensor chip measures the gas flow, ensuring very fast signal processing time and higher accuracy than similar products.
Features:
- Multiple gas calibration: The AFM3020 can be calibrated for multiple gases, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications that require different gases to be measured.
- High shock and vibration resistance: The sensor is designed to withstand high levels of shock and vibration, making it suitable for use in harsh environments.
- Non-invasive measurement: The AFM3020 uses a non-invasive measurement technique, which means it does not require any direct contact with the fluid being measured, minimizing the risk of contamination or damage.
- Wide range of flow rates: The sensor can measure flow rates ranging from ~10 to 200 slm, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
- High-resolution output: The AFM3020 provides high-resolution output, with a resolution of up to 0.01 cm, allowing for precise and accurate measurement of flow rates.
