The Photoelectric Speed Sensor Encoder Coded Disc code wheel is a Slotted Opto isolator module, with an IR transmitter & a photodiode mounted on it. Performs Non-Contact Object Sensing. This is normally used as positional sensor switch (limit switch) or as Position Encoder sensors used to find the position of the wheel.

The module consists of IR LED and Photodiode mounted facing each other enclosed in the plastic body.

    The component has only one useful signal wire. The yellow wire is useless. Good for unidirectional applications only.

    Hello,
    Very quick delivery by robu.
    When i connected it to arduino UNO , I am not able to reduce the counts when rotating it in reverse direction.
    Do I have to use any interface before connecting it to arduino?, kindly provide any circuit diagram with the application of this sensor.
