This is FS1000A 433mHz Tx & Rx RF Radio Module. This RF module comprises an RF Transmitter and an RF Receiver. The transmitter/receiver (Tx/Rx) pair operates at a frequency of 433 MHz. An RF transmitter receives serial data and transmits it wirelessly through RF through its antenna connected at pin4.

The transmission occurs at the rate of 1Kbps – 10Kbps. The transmitted data is received by an RF receiver operating at the same frequency as that of the transmitter.

This low-cost RF transmitter can be used to transmit signals up to 100 meters (the antenna design, working environment, and supply voltage will seriously impact the effective distance). It’s good for a short distance, battery power device development. 433 MHz is the operating frequency for transmitter and receiver pair.

    I should give 4 stars because initially when I started using it, the coil antenna inbuilt was enough to transmit and receive data through two 15 inch walls for a total distance of around 12 metres. It was working well. But after an week the receiver got damaged. I don’t think i did any fault in keeping it. I don’t know. Maybe it’s just luck. This product deserves 4 stars.

    Tested n found working. I used examples in VirtualWire library for Arduino. I have not tested the range. There is no need to solder the antenna for testing. It’s enough if one can bring the transmitter closer to the receiver.
