The brushless DC motor mainly consists of a rotor made of permanent magnet material and a stator with a coil winding. It has a lot in common with the DC motor, the stator and rotor structure is almost the same (the original stator into rotor, rotor into stator), and the winding wiring is basically the same.
However, there is one obvious structural difference: brushless DC motors do not have commutators and brushes as in DC motors. Instead, they use a position sensor. A Brushless DC motor cannot automatically commutate (phase).
